My brother Bobby needs your help!

Hello friends and family. I am creating this GoFundMe page for a few reasons. 1) To help raise funds for my brother, Bobby Reed, during a very critical time in his life. 2) To serve as a main hub for updates on his health, as so many of you ask and think about him daily. 3) To let people who may not know what’s going on, in on the details, so they can pray for him.

My brother was 1st diagnosed with a digestive disorder when he was 6 years old. I’ll spare you the details of what it entailed! If you know Bobby well, you already know! (picture a cow chewing cud)
Over the last 10 years, he has had 4 repair surgeries to solve his digestive issues and bring him better health. None of those attempts were successful.
In the last year, after having one major surgery and a scary incident with his lung being punctured, we thought that was going to be the end of surgeries and Bobby could start living a healthy life and never look back! Unfortunately, that is not the case and now it seems the Mayo Clinic has done all they can for Bobby.
Bobby has struggled to eat, he has lost over 60 lbs. (almost 30% of his body weight) and continues to lose weight. He hasn’t been able to eat a meal in 21 days and has been hospitalized 3 times in recent months.
If you know Bobby, you know that he knows everyone and by a friend making phone calls and that turning into a “friend of a friend” making phone calls, Bobby is flying to Houston to meet with a team of world class leading Doctors who will be looking at his case.
He will be admitted to the hospital tomorrow, and given IV nutrition upon his arrival. A GI Tube will be inserted, surgically, early next week, where they will also do some exploration to come up with long term plan. There will be another major surgery coming sometime in the near future. (we will update as soon as we know)
A lot of people have asked “what can I do to help?” We have gotten to this place of asking for financial help from friends and family. Not to sound cliché but seriously, ANY, amount will help because that is how crowd funding works. Bobby and Liz have spent so much money trying to get him well and we are now asking you for help.
Minus any fees that will be taken by this platform (minimal) 100% of the money will go straight to Bobby and Liz so they can use it anytime. Our goal amount may seem high but it’s only a few thousand dollars more than is owed to the Mayo Clinic at this time so we can only imagine what cost will be incurred going to Houston. If the campaign happens to go over the goal, the money will still be used for medical expenses, as this is just a guess amount.
Please continue to pray for Bobby and Liz and their 4 children. Please pray for the Dr's and staff in Houston.
