My Brother is Stranded in the Philippines

Donation protected
My brother met the love of his life and decided to go to the Philippines to be with her while her immigration paperwork processed. He left in February 2020 with the intention of and means to return home in a few months. Then Covid happened. While most of us had heard of Covid by February, I don’t think anyone could have predicted the shutdowns, travel restrictions and bans, the massive effect this would have on our economies, or the sheer length of time we would be dealing with all of this. Also, it has made the already painstakingly slow process of immigration even slower. At this point, my brother is ready to return home, unfortunately without his fiancé, because he has been gone for almost a year now and has three sons he desperately misses and needs to see. My brother graduated high school at 17 years old and joined the Army. He spent his 18th birthday in Germany on his way to his first deployment in Bosnia. He has also served in South Korea and Iraq not once, but twice. For 17 years he selflessly laid his life on the line to protect us. I’d love nothing more than to show him how grateful we all are by helping in his time of need. He has run out of savings. He has run out of options. And he is effectively stranded in the Philippines. Please, if you have the ability, help him. The funds raised here will first pay for his plane ticket, and he will also need medical exams and certifications to re-enter the US,  then once those are covered the remainder will go for basics like food and rent while he gets established here again. Thank you so much for your time and generosity!!
