My Ballet Trip to Russia

Hi! I'm Makena Malonso, a 16 year old aspiring ballet dancer. I've been doing ballet for 12 years. My life is practically consumed by dance because I spend six days a week at the studio for numerous hours. My passion for ballet keeps me determined to work hard every day to make my dreams come true. Through the years, I have dealt with my lows and highs. One major difficuty that I face is my arthritis. I was diagnosed with arthritis when I was 8 years old. The arthritis in my joints caused pain and stiffness that hindered me from dancing at my fullest. After being treated with medicines, I now rarely experience pain, but still sometimes feel stiffness. I believe that my perserverence to make it through these difficult times has made me a much more strong and powerful dancer. Last year, I auditioned and was chosen to dance the role of Clara in Radio City Music Hall's Christmas Spectacular. I performed about 70 shows for audiences with up to 6,000 people! During every show, I felt nothing but joy when I was dancing. Whether I'm dancing infront of an enormous audience, in the dance studio, or even in my bedroom, I manage to find a warmth of happiness in my heart for ballet.   

My dance school, City Ballet School, is hosting a a trip to Moscow. I would love this oppurtunity to watch AND take class with the Bolshoi Ballet. This company is one of the most renowned in the world! This trip would be such a great experience to help set me on a path to making becoming a proffessional dancer. It would be so greatly appriciated if you could donate (even the smallest amount) to help fund this once in a lifetime trip.
My goal is $4150 which includes the following:
Visa: $120-140
Plane ticket: $1,200-1,500 (Round trip)
Lodging: $500-900 
Classes: 600 euros per student ( 2 classes -technique, point/variations for 5 days M-F)
Bolshoi tickets: $120-155 per show
City Excursion: approximately $80 
School set up Fee: $400-800

This trip is planned to take place in mid Februrary, but a partial payment is needed by the end of this month.
