MY AWESOME CANCER-SURVIVING MOTHER NEEDS A NEW CAR

Donation protected
My mother, Renee Judkins, is a survivor and a warrior in every sense of the word.  She has successfully raised two children with autism - myself (on the right) and my sister, Noelle (in the middle), to adulthood.  She has beaten THREE very lethal cancers - in 2001, she was diagnosed with Stage 4 colo-rectal cancer and given only six months to live.  Together, we were able to beat it.  In 2015, she was diagnosed with Stage 3 uterine and Stage 3 ovarian cancer at the same time.  Right now, she is currently in remission and looking like she is going to beat both of them.

But right now, times are tough.  We are struggling just to get by, and Renee has taken to driving for Uber against the advice of her doctors just to make ends meet.  Our 2010 Ford Edge has 176,000 miles on it and is in need of repairs, but what she was really needing was a new car to replace it.  We have found out that the car is worth $5,000 less than what we still owe on the loan and that will make it hard to get another one.

Our car is how we survive.  Besides running for Uber, Noelle is a student at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, which is one of the toughest art and design schools in the nation.  We have to drive her 26 miles one-way four days a week to get her to her classes, which is a considerable amount of wear and tear on a car.  This is her life; her dream is to be a video game designer and work for a major developer some day and with our help, she will realize that dream.

I am looking to raise $6,000 by April 1st to negate the original loan and for a $1,000 down payment.  I cannot begin to describe how much this would mean to me if we are able to get this done.  My mother means the world to me, and to watch her beat three very lethal cancers that have killed some of her acquaintances gives me the strength and inspiration to go through my day and endure my struggles.  Seeing her in a new car would bring to me an endless amount of joy and satisfaction.
