Asking for help is never an easy thing to do for anyone especially for people who are use to busting their asses to make sure that their family has everything they want and need. Anyone who knows my parents or anyone in my family for that matter they understand what family means to us and how we treat each other and how in our home blood isn't the only qualifying factor making you family. My parents growing up even now have always taken in any friends of mine or my siblings that fell on hard times or needed a place to go or hot meal to eat. Their famous saying is "if you go hungry in this house that's your own fault" lol. But in saying all that I'm reaching out to any and everybody and asking for some help for two people I'd give the world to if I had it like that. But I don't and this family is has been shaken by this thing we all seem to hate called CANCER. My poor mom is finding her self in the exact same place she was in when she was only 21 years old and had to take care of her sick mother and watch her fight day in and out only to lose the battle to what started as bladder/ovarian cancer. Only it's a lot harder when you live 7 hours away. As we wait for test results for the fluid that keeps filling his lungs and the masses on his brain my parents are having to travel back and forth to help take care of him and spend time with him in what looks to be his last days. If the results show the cancer has spread my 85 year old grandfather has decided he will no longer continue treatment. At that point it will be our goal to bring my grandfather from Illinois to Wichita Kansas to spend his last days with the only family he has left, plus arrange for my uncle to get out here from Ny to see my grandfather before he decides his fight is no longer worth fighting. the last thing I want is for them to financially pin them selves down while they just be the loving people they are and always have been and fulfilling my grandfathers memorial/cremation wishes in the event of his passing.
