Hearing Aids for Music Teacher

My name is Anita Vaughn Wilson-Pilson. For the last thirty-six years, I have taught Chorus and Drama. I taught 6 years in Lunenburg County, VA and most recently, for 30 years in Wake County Public School System.
I direct two church choirs and I teach at a Bible College one night per week. Also, I have conducted Choral Workshops for several churches in the Wake and Johnston County Areas.
In addition to the above activities, I share my passion for music by providing individual piano instruction.
So as you can see, Music is my life, it's my PRAISE and it is who I am... and music is how I give back to the world.
I was recently diagnosed with Tintinitis which is a Congenital Condition where I experience auditory fluctuating and at times, even full blown hearing loss. This condition presents itself from Barometric pressure changes during storms, along with sinus infections and when I catch a cold,. This year vertigo was an added complication.
After going through more than my share of testing to confirm the diagnosis, I've had to realistically face the reality and seriousness of this conditiion. I have never been a quitter and it is not in my vocabulary now, but at times I do feel the need to step away from my God Given gift because of what I am facing.
Still, I am neither ready to retire from teaching, nor am I ready to endure a life of silence.
So, after being turned down by my insurance company, I am turning to you: my family and friends, the church and my associates. I ask you to help me raise the needed funds, to purchase custom made hearing aids, to pay medical bills, and to defray the cost of other needs that may arise from this complex condition.
Any monetary assistance you offer will be greatly appreciated. No amount is too small, and no amount is too great.
