Support for Evan Marra & Family

We want to rally around the Marra family as Evan was recently diagnosed with AML or Acute Myeloid Leukemia .  AML  is a cancer of the bone marrow and the blood, and it can progress rapidly without treatment. Fortunately, Evan is at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) getting treatment already. CHLA is a leading hospital in the US.

Evan is so funny. He is quick with a witty line and insightful jokes. He is deeply inquisitive and wildly talented. Evan oozes charisma. He is a protector of the women in his life.

The Marras are currently in the transition of relocating from Pasadena, CA to South Bend, IN. This adds a complication to Evan's care and treatment given that the family will be split between the two cities. They will continue to assess Evan's health before making any decisions to move him.

We LOVE Evan! He is a fighter. Evan is lucky that he has a Mom who knows her way around the medical world (and has years working at CHLA in physical therapy). Beth is a FIERCE advocate for her kids. Evan's sister Eileen just graduated from 8th grade. This has been a tough year, given the pandemic, but she is caring and loving and a wonderful sister to Evan. Gerard is always there for a last-minute errand and the BEST bear hugs in town. He is a steadfast support for all.

We ask that you help financially to contribute to medical expenses that are not covered by insurance and travel & lodging costs as the families are straddled between two states.
