Ruben’s Double Lung Transplant

I’m getting very emotional just writing this. Where to start?
Ruben is my dad, he’s been a “business man” his whole life, but let’s face it, he’s more a friend than a technician since so many of the jobs he did he would do for free. He’s got such a big heart.

My dad was diagnosed with this gnarly lung disease (Interstitial Lung Disease) that prettymuch wiped out being able to do every kind of physical activity we do on a daily basis. He said goodbye to his life work as an electrician technician this year and it was so so heartbreaking. My mom is now his 24/7 caregiver and it’s been a tough time for them. I know my dad is very old school and would never want to ask anyone for anything, but I believe that he’s given so much all his life and it would be nice to do this for him. 

He’s currently awaiting a double lung transplant and has been under the care of UCSD Heart and Lung Transplant Team. Prayers are SO welcomed as well. 

Funds will be utilized for everything from gas for multiple doctor visits a day, utility bills since he’s on oxygen 24/7, medical costs, living expenses since he can no longer work, etc.
