For Katie

On April 5th, we received the news that a member of the Brew Republic family, Katie, had passed. We're setting up this fund in an effort to help alleviate the cost of the funeral and memorial service for her family, and 100% of donations will go straight to her family.

Katie was a line cook here at Brew Republic. Her tenacity and ferocity in the kitchen made her a very dynamic cook. Katie's passion for food was present in every plate she made and she always aimed to hone and improve her craft. There has never been, nor will there ever be, someone like her to walk through the kitchen at Brew Republic.

We brewed a beer in tribute that we've named "Katie's Shift Beer." A session sour conditioned on grapefruit that's a little sweet, a little tart, and easygoing but bold, just like Katie. Katie's Shift Beer has a home here at Brew Republic, just as Katie will always have a place in our hearts.
