Hello! My name is Marc Perry and I'm a retired veteran.
One year ago began the hardest time for my wife, four children, and I have ever experienced. On February 10th, 2014, I experienced a heart attack while working in Afghanistan. I was placed on disability for 3 months after which I was let go by my employer because I could not return overseas to my assignment. I found myself unemployed for 6 months before finding another job. The income I was receiving was not enough to provide for my family along with keeping my mortgage current. I exhausted my savings and retirement funds trying to stay current on my bills while unemployed. I'm currently heading into foreclosure, but trying to keep my home; I would have nowhere to take my family. I recently found another job that would allow me to make my payments, but cannot pay the outstanding amount due to stop the foreclosure process.
I have tried and continue to try to contact agencies that are supposed to assist in these situations, but I'm either told I don't qualify or to check out other resources. I don't want to say there aren’t agencies willing to assist out there, but I wouldn't be setting up this site if I was having any luck.
The dollar amount set would be a great start, but anything you could assist with is more than appreciated.
