Medical Expenses for Derek Sansing

November 29th, 2017. A day I will never forget. I was conducting security operations onboard USS Theodore Roosevelt which is currently in the Indian Ocean when I received an American Redcross message.
My Brother, Derek Sansing was shot 17 times by 3 intruders who broke into his house that early morning.
Good news is is that Derek, who has always been my hero survived that chaotic event by pushing through 3 surgeries totaling more than 14 hours in length.
Bad news is that he is now paralyzed from the waist down. These are expenses that his medical insurance won’t cover and now with having to buy a motorized wheel chair along with an in house nanny for several months to take care of him, it’s become a financial mountain me and my mother can’t climb.
We need all help possible and with the outreach and support we have already received we know we can achieve this goal.
