Saving Big Boy

This is Big Boy, a sweet Manx-Tabby who lives outdoors with other cats - all cared for and loved by the homeowner.  Big Boy's eye problem has been slowly developing over the course of several years, but I got a call for help from his caregiver (for whom I do TNR trapping)  last week, that the eye has become infected and swollen.  We scrambled for a solution  and ended up taking him to  an excellent vet-surgeon with reasonable fees,  He was given antibiotics to lessen the infection, and we have secured the first available surgery date on December 6, 2019.  The vet will first do an x-ray to determine the extent of the "mass" which, he noted,  is also causing a bulge in the roof of the mouth.  Surgery will entail removal of the eye and "mass".  We are praying that this precious life will be able to continue in good health and blessedly-pain-free.   We thank you for sharing our compassion for this cat and others in need - any excessive funds will be devoted to the care of our many rescued cats and kittens including their veterinarian expenses.  With our Blessings and Thanks,  Cheryl
