Hello! I am Chip and Sandy's Daughter-in-law, Megan. My husband and I have been living with Chip and Sandy for the past 9 months. We have been the recipients of their kindness and generosity in that they have shared everything they have with us and our little girl while we get through the last portion of Ryan's nursing degree. They will not take money when offered for rent and have just truly opened their hearts and home to us.
We are not the only ones that have benefited from their kindness in sharing all that they possess over the years. So many have fallen back on them during hard times and they have always been there to help.
Now they need our help! In caring for others for so long, and falling on hard economic times (Chip owns his own business) they have not had the money that they need to do basic upkeep with their home. They haven't been on a trip alone, just for fun, in probably... well, their son cannot even remember a time.
We are asking that those who know them and their kindness, and maybe even those that don't, would donate what you can, even just a few dollars to give back to some of the most giving people on this planet. They would literally give the shirts off of their backs for friends and strangers alike.
Our main goal is just to put in some new flooring for the main living areas and send them on a weekend getaway while we put the floor in.
They would be embarrassed if they knew that we were asking, as they would NEVER ask for anything themselves. They feel blessed to help others and don't even see their own needs. Please do not tell them we are doing this!! Thank you for your help!
