Musselburgh Sea Cadets Sponsored Virtual Walk 21

Do you want to join us in making a difference to younger people? As a Unit Team we are doing a Virtual Sponsored Walk over 600km, equivalent from our Sea Cadet Unit on South Street, Musselburgh to Sea Cadets HQ, Lambeth Road, London!
Everyone will be setting on their efforts from Monday 1st March 2021 , daily logging their steps or km walked and hopefully as a team we will be finished within the month of March.
The funds raised from this sponsored walk will continue to allow us to provide the training we are delivering both virtually and when back to face to face.
Due to the current pandemic the Unit has lost out on a lot of our usual fundraising route and with the team taking part in the sponsored walk it will enable them to get out walking, get fit, improve wellbeing and spend time with family as part of their team.
Sea Cadets provide 10-18 year olds with a head start into life giving a range of opportunities from First Aid to Boating qualifications, all based around the Royal Navy. They provide a safe place for children/teens of all backgrounds and abilities to socialise and thrive within the community.
One of the cadets have said, “Personally, joining Sea Cadets was one of the best things I have done; it has provided me with a confidence and experiences that just simply cannot be learnt within a classroom. It has given me with an insight into Royal Navy life, and has helped meet many friend from all across the UK, who will be friends for life.”
