Musician Friends

Some of you may know that before moving to Charlotte, I lived as a working entertainer/musician in Las Vegas as well as Atlanta. For most of my 20’s, all of my thirties and the beginning of my forties, I lived and worked as a career entertainer. Though I had the opportunity to travel all over the world, from Europe to Asia and even the Middle East, the life as a musician was not all roses.

Many days and nights not knowing where the next gig was coming from; times being in an airport in somewhere like Japan knowing that when I arrived back to the States I may not have enough money to get groceries because I paid all the bills while I was on the road. Many days were a struggle.

Some of you may be saying, “well get a real job then.” Yeah, some of my family said that to me back in the day but being a career musician is a Calling! What else can make you remember that basement house party – MUSIC! When you’re feeling down and out and need Inspiration to get you through - you put on your favorite SONG! And when God Himself created the heavens & the earth he created a beautiful MELODY!

As you’ve noticed, all entertainment venues, concert theaters and even worship moments at houses of worship have all but stopped and those persons responsible for all that creativity and joyful sounds have all but stopped working and creating as well. Although I’ve taken up working in the day and not living totally as a career musician these days, many of my lifelong friends are still living that life and are struggling.

Hence, I want to do something to help those people that have shared the stage alongside of me and have brought you enjoyment throughout the last few years when you’ve come to one of my shows, downloaded some of my music or been in a worship service witnessing the power of God.

Therefore, Brenda and I have created a Go Fund Me page in hopes to assist many band members and their families in these trying times.
