Music United Foundation Instrument and Lessons

Donation protected
Hi, Im Jane Stebbins-Skowron, President of the Music United Foundation, a small but mighty 501c4 Social Welfare organization in Auburn, NY. For the last 10 years, This small group of fierce women raised $175,000 for area musicians and their families in medical need. We've helped a lot of musicians, now we are expanding our horizons.

This picture is of Amar Cooney, a resident of the Rescue Mission Merriman Street Neighborhood in Auburn, NY. He and his family were once homeless. He is the first recipient of our "Create a Musician" campaign for children in need. Amar takes drum lessons from area drum teacher Randy Mucedola. Mr. Mucedola states Amar has "natural rhythm" and is "doing fantastic with his lessons."

Lessons cost families at least $80.00 a month, something many parents cannot afford. Purchasing instruments is even costlier. We are running this fundraiser to support our "Create a Musician" fund. We will purchase instruments, practice pads, sticks, music, lessons and anything else a child needs to begin his musical journey. The children sign a pledge to keep their grades up in school and practice their craft. The Foundation monitors their progress and pledge. The Music United Foundation purchases all items only at area music stores to support local businesses.

Please find it in your hearts to donate. As a personal perk, for every ten dollars you spend, you'll receive a ticket to win 3 hours of Goodtime Charlie's Mobile DJ Service (dates subject to availability) a 450.00 value. We will choose the winner of this event in January, live on Moondog's Lounge Facebook page!
