Music Therapy for Hudson
Hudson struggles with speaking.
I researched therapies that could help him in speaking and found music therapy. Music therapy uses another part of your brain to help elicit speech through song.
It was really hard to find a music therapist but then I found BIRMINGHAM CENTRE FOR ARTS THERAPIES, a charity that
uses the arts as a catalyst to support people and communities - helping them to grow and develop, and use the arts as a way to express and engage.
Hudson’s music therapy sessions with his therapist, Anna has helped him immensely. He has developed so much confidence in using his voice, the power in his voice and just loves to sing! The cover photo is Hudson doing his virtual music therapy with Anna every Friday afternoon.
