Greetings all.
My name is michelle nicole Abadia. I'm originally from Caguas, Puerto rico; but am currently in residing in Brighton, Massachusetts (a section of Boston)

I am here to ask for your generous financial assistance in pursuing my musical dreams, while struggling with huge emotional issues and medical bills stemming from hospitalization. I aspire to musical freedom and emotional acceptance who who I am as a whole human being.

I am the youngest of 3 sisters who's truly thankful to have a mother who could be both dad and mom to us when my father passed away at age42.

I am blind. I was born with congenital cataracts, and After 6 eye surgeries between the ages of 4 months and 4 years old, all effort were made to save my eyesight proved to no avail. Mycongenital cataracts has already ravaged them.

In the midst of all this depressing clinical situation, my family began noticing my musical abilities. I could humm tunes with ease; I even helped the piano tuner tune our home piano. my voice had vibrato by age 4, and I could both play and sing by ear. You could say that my music got me out of the darkness the loss of my sight hadleft me in; music has become my light ever since.

As a young musician, I became a member of the prestigious san Juan Children's choir, where I learned piano, music theory and appreciation, accoustic guitar and the recorder. By age 13, I had already won first prize at two LatinAmerican voice competitions. All through high school, I was frequenting the local radio and television circuit.

There came a time when I had to make a decision between becomi>g a fulltime musician or go to college and pursue a literatu6e degree. my brains had also become great assess; I wanted to prove to those who could see that I could "see" as well. so I was accepted into the French literature program at Boston College, where I earned a bac3elors degree in 1992. I also obtained a mioor in international relations. I obtained subseq-ent masters degree in French lite6ature at Tufts University in Medford, Ma; and a Masters degree in vocal performance from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Ma.

Having all these degrees under my belt gave me a chance to teach and perform at the same time. For the next 4 years, I became a Spanish and French interpreter for the massachusetts judicial system. For the next 14 years star>ing in the spring of 2000, I taught modernlanguages at Framingham state university, Babson College in Wellesley, Ma, Ruxbury Community college in Roxbury ma, Massbay Community college, Lase2l College, in Auburndale, Ma, andEmerson College, where i Taught from 2008-2014.
My name is Michelle nicole Abadia. I am a professional soprano and guitarist, a linguit, a daughter, sister, friend, auntie, and a totally blind person. Currently, I am a fulltime musician and a fulltime self-care-taker for my own emotion strugqles. I come to you to ask for the approximate amount of $40.000, so that I can pay medical bills stemming from my various hospitalizations since 2011 until the present. My drams, goals and aspirations are 2-pronged.
1. To feel much better about myself myself as a blind person on an emotional level.

2. To be able to maintain my Facebook page, Youtube channel, to deal with cd prroduction costs and distribution, for travel expenses, self-promotion, the purchase of more professional equipment, and a saiety net for when my doctors clear me for being able to work on a more fulltime basis, though my ultimate goal is to live off of my music.

I was born in San Juan Puertorico with congenital cataracts. I'm the youngest of 3 sisters, and between the ages of 4 months and 4 years, I received 6 surgeries which failed to stop the progressive and complete loss of my sight. I grew up in Caguas, Puerto Rico, w3ere I was lucky enough to have a supportive and enc9uraging family who gave me the same academic and extracurricula( actjvities as any child my age.

I was humming tunes by age 2, and helping our piano tuner by age 3. By age 5, I became a member of the prestigious San Juan Children's choir, where I leaned, piano, Guitar, Recorder, music theroy and appr:ciation and solfage. As a teenager, I was in the local radio and television circle singing with guitar self-accomsaniment.

I pursued a bachelors degree in French Lite6ature and a minor in international re2ations from Boston College, a masters degree in French literature at Tufts University in Medford, Ma, and a subsequent masters degree in vocal performance at the NeW England conservatory of Music.

I worked as a French and Spanish professor at various colleges around, such as Emerson College, Babson College, and Framingham state college, while trying to
