Music for Linda

Our concert Nirvana was supposed to be May 2020, Adam Ant and Madness (with the English Beat).  The pandemic caused these shows to be rescheduled to May 2021.  I was planning to attend with my first cousin, who is my concert plus one and all around great friend.  The original tickets were her birthday present for 2020, because she has always wanted to see Madness live and Adam is doing the Friend or Foe album, one of her favorites.  I am happy to say we saw the English Beat in Feb. 2020 (wearing our Ranking Roger t-shirts).

I found out 4 weeks ago that she has stage 4 squamous cell carcinoma in her liver.  They cannot determine the source.  Apparently it is very rare and the life expectancy is 9 – 12 months after diagnosis.

First, I want to contact Madness, Adam and Stevie Nicks (her idol, but no shows) to see if any/all of them will send her a video message in the very near future.  I just want her concert Nirvana to happen while she is still able to enjoy it.

I was hoping that someone reading this could put me in touch (or have someone contact me) with the management of any or all of these artists.  I have sent letters, but either got nothing back or a form letter response.

The doctors have said there is really nothing more to do than keep her comfortable.

Next, I want her to be surrounded by the music that she loves to help brighten her day and encourage her not to give up.
So, in lieu of going to the concerts, I want to surprise her with a large television with great sound and music dvd’s (concerts, documentaries, etc) of all of her favorite artists.

She is in the hospital again and we hope she can go home soon and be immersed in the music that shaped our lives.
