I have been collecting music, mostly Bob Dylan (almost anything in circulation among collectors), folk, early (oldtime) country, bluegrass, blues, jazz, rock, some popular music (international and German) since  1970.

I am recognized as an expert on early Bob Dylan (and his traditional sources), quoted in books like Todd Harvey's "The Formative Dylan",  Michael Gray's "Bob Dylan Encyclopedia", and around 10-15 other scholarly publications.

After a triple bypass operation in January 2017, I was able to work for another year (until the end of July 2018), collapsed on August14, 2018 because of extremely high, life-threatening blood pressure -- a "pre-existing condition" after the bypass operation, which has not changed for the better in more than half a year.

I am presently only drawing "Krankengeld" (sickness compensation) from my health insurance (around 60 per cent of my previous pay) for a total of 18 months, which BARELY covers rent, utilities, insurances, etc.

I am single, with no children/heirs, and wanted to donate my collection (around 4,000 LPs, some 45s, very few 78s), around 5,000 CDs, around 5,000 DVDs, around 20TB of (mostly commercially unreleased) recordings in the aforementioned genres/categories -- around 12TB of commercially unreleased Bob Dylan recordings alone, almost anything in circulation among collectors) to an archive, preferably to the L+R Archive, Eisenach, Germany.

I have, so far, archived 4,800 hours (around 40,000 tracks/songs) already (as mp3), as well as around 6,000 video recordings (as divx/H264) and around 1,000 books as pdf/epub (very  few as mobi).

If I continue to be sick and off work any longer, I will have to sell parts of my collection (obviously the rarities will be easiest to sell for the most profit), and my collection (and close to  50 years of my own research) will fall apart and be rendered "moot"....

The ideal situation would be an employment for two years, six months (until my retirement), which the L+R Archiv most likely could NOT provide (as they are publicly funded) -- therefore, I am seeking ANY contributions which would enable them (L+R Archiv) to employ me until retirement (probably around Eur 100,000 -- my collection is certainly worth A WHOLE LOT MORE)-- it would be a win-win situation (they would get someone who is experienced in audio/video transfers, and who will donate his HUGE collection, helping to  catalogue and archive it for posterity -- another task which would be considerably more difficult AFTER my demise)....

Any help contributing  to keeping my my unique collection intact for research and posterity in a publicly accessible archive  is EXTREMELY APPRECIATED!!!
