I had started my Samba journey a long time ago in Poland. I moved to the UK to continue learning in London School of Samba. Currently I am a passista and so far I have presented my skills on 3 Notting Hill carnivals and many gigs. You may wonder who a "passista" is? Well, passistas are the best dancers in the given Samba school, who represent the school during the shows. I am also a passista in Sao Clemente (Samba school) in Rio de Janerio.
My skills and hard work have been appreciated and I was offered a position of a Musa during the 2022 Rio de Janeiro carnival! It is such a huge honour! A Musa is someone who inspires all elements of a carnival. It is someone who has an honorary solo position and has strong ties to all disciplines within the samba school.
I would have my own space in Sambódromo (exhibition place for the Samba schools parades during Carnaval in Brazil) and will be representing my Samba community.
I have been saving money for it, however I am still not there yet and I need funds for my costume, which needs to meet certain required standards and unfortuantely is very expensive (over £1000), travel and accommodation etc.
I hope you will help me to make my dream come true!
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me and I will be more that happy to provide you with more information!
