Murphy Glass Dream Shattered

Hi! I’m Melanie, and this is my brother is Michael. We’re 3 years apart in age, and we grew up with a love/hate (mostly love) brother/sister relationship like most do.  Our parents taught us that family is the most important thing above all else, and as we got older we realized we needed each other more than we thought. Today, I’m happy to call my brother one of my best friends and one of the most genuine, outgoing, hardworking men I know. 

If you know Michael, you know his love of cars, trucks, dirt bikes, motorcycles, if it has wheels michael wants it. Of course he has scared the living shit out of our family with his wild ways but that’s Michael. He’s literally the sunshine on a cloudy day for our family. 

If you’re like me, then you understand that when someone you love is hurting, you hurt. And my heart is absolutely broken for my brother.....

This past year Michael had purchased a 2019 Polaris rzr 1000s, only to have it stolen from him.

He had recently planned to sell his side-by-side to open up his own business. While working at another glass company, Michael realized that this was something he could see himself doing forever. He finally told himself that he was going to do it, and sell his new toy. 

He had planned to meet someone in Charlotte who was a potential buyer. He asked Michael to show him what the side-by-side could do, and when Michael stepped out to talk to him after driving it around, the man jumped in the driver seat and took off with it. 

Michael is devastated. Which absolutely breaks my heart. I will never understand how people can be so cruel. 

This money will be used to help pay off the remainder of what was owed on the Polaris, and to also help my brother open up his own business, “Murphy Glass”. The business will be located in the triad area for residential and commercial glass.
