Mural Project in Southwest Denver

Like other neighborhoods across Denver we have seen a rise in violence over the last 6 months.  Our community said loud and clear that they were not willing to stand by and allow it to continue to affect our neighborhoods.  Part of our solution to stand agains that violence is to bring our community together and create a public message of remembrance and hope.  Local artists, organizers, youth and educators have been working together to create a mural at the Kepner Middle School Campus.  We are hoping to raise money to support the efforts of artists and youth and cover the costs of the mural creation.  If you are local please join us October 3rd and 4th as we start this work, if you are able to support this effort, any contribution helps.  We cant do this work without our community, thank you all! 


Al igual que otros vecindarios en Denver, hemos visto un aumento en la violencia en los últimos 6 meses. Nuestra comunidad dijo alto y claro que no estaban dispuestos a quedarse al margen y permitir que siguiera afectando nuestros vecindarios. Parte de nuestra solución para luchar contra la violencia es unir a nuestra comunidad y crear un mensaje público de recuerdo y esperanza. Artistas, organizadores, jóvenes y educadores locales han estado trabajando juntos para crear un mural en el campus de la escuela secundaria Kepner. Esperamos recaudar fondos para apoyar los esfuerzos de los artistas y los jóvenes y cubrir los costos de la creación del mural.
