Mural project for homeless shelter

Hello,

The power of art to nurture the human soul is deeply powerful and urgent to the lives of the most vulnerable of our society. I've been working to share my passion to uplift spaces with the homeless community for years. Casa Posada Esperanza is a family shelter on the Eastside that host refugee families for a few months at a time while helping them navigate, their transition to the USA. 

This is a dear gift to me, because as a child, I spent 4 years in and out of shelters with my mother. Much of that time was spent drawing and dreaming. I understand intimately how impactful a program of this kind can be for the residents.   

 The vision is to, paint a mural, fix up the playground hazards, haul off some unsightly discarded materials from the yard, as well as do some decorative painting in the back yard to uplift the space and create a prepared environment for the children who will be spending much of their time in that space. 


That's where we come in... By contributing to or circulating the word of this project, the resources can be gathered to create a wonderful and empowering experience for so many.
