Chance's Gallbladder Stone Removal

Donation protected
When I first met Chance, it was when I arrived at my girlfriend's house for our very first date back in the fall of 2008. He was just this orange furball who greeted me at the door, sniffed me out, and rubbed up against me. We weren't friends at first, but once I became a regular in his life, we were in seperable when I was at the house. Chance would even go on walks around the neighborhood with us. From the time we met, we were destined to be pals.

Fast forward nearly 9 years later, and my cat, my best friend, is sick. This isn't the first time he's been ill, or needed a hospital visit...but this is the first time he's needed surgery.  And it had to be as soon as possible.

Last Friday, Chance started throwing up, and then he stopped eating or drinking. I didn't know what was wrong, and I wasn't sure if his diabetes had come back (he got diagnosed back in June), but my furbaby was gaunt, lethargic, and shunned tuna fish (so we fed it to him through a syringe every couple hours).

When I finally got him to vet, we found that his gums and ears were yellow. He had jaundice. The vet wanted to do an ultrasound to determine if it was terminal, and thankfully it is a gallbladder stone that can be removed. However, because he hadn't eaten in a few days, and he was showing no signs of an appetite. We needed to get him into surgery ASAP.

That is why I'm starting this GoFundMe. In hopes of raising enough capital to help cover the $5000 inital vet bill, and subsequent doctor visits.

With the current YouTube adpocalpyse, and my first baby on the way, my budget is stretched tight, and given all the change that's happened in the past few months, I couldn't stand losing my best friend too.

If you can help support the surgery, that'd be wonderful, and I'd be eternally in your debt. If you cannot, I understand that as well and just ask that you either think good thoughts, or share the link.  And if you've gotten this far, I just thank you for taking the time to read about my situation.

Thank you,
Matt Jarbo
