Mum of 7 tragically lost to Domestic Violence

Our Candice

 

A beautiful 39 year old lady, who was tragically taken from this world at the hands of her partner. This devastation has caused 7 children, now without a mother!

 

No words can describe and capture just how beautiful and loving our Candice is, always seeing the good in everyone, and her love still continues on even though evil has taken her from this world.

 

All these proceeds will contribute to the funeral costs and ongoing care for the 7 children to help pay for daily expenses and trying to rebuild their lives without their beautiful mum and home.

 

Daughter to Delveen Mippy, Jimmy (Bardi) Shea and stepdaughter of Phillip Sampi.

A fantastic, loving, devoted mum of 7 children, from 18 years old down to 6 years of age. Big sister to Ashley and Darcy.

 

Candice was also nicknamed, Candy or Coo Coo. Coo is one of her nicknames originating from Great grandfather and great grandmother. Candice’s beauty was naturally captivating as an aunty called her Cleopatra – describing her naturally beautiful looks with her long dark hair.

 

We have suffered the loss of a great mother, daughter, grandchild, aunty, niece, sister and friend. One of a kind, always smiling, having a laugh with family and friends.

 

Her kind and gentle nature shined so bright, always made time for anyone, as her personality was so kind, loving and giving and made everyone feel blessed to have known such a gentle caring soul.

 

Candice was well known throughout Broome, Djarindjin, Geraldton, Moora, Meekatharra, Perth, just to name a few. She was loved by all those that knew her as she had that magical saintly quality. In Broome she worked at Broome hospital as a PCA – which is so befitting as it is a Patient Care Assistant. Once again her nurturing qualities excelling and shining through to help others.

 

What continues from here may be upsetting to readers. However, we would like everyone to know our side and not rumours or innuendos.

 

Sadly on the 17th March, a date that will be forever etched in our minds for all the wrong reasons, she was killed. Her then-partner admitted he ran her over, which took her from our worlds. From this point forward, it has been a difficult, disturbing labyrinth for our family to navigate amongst the deceit, neglect and lies from departments and the judicial system involved.

 

This myriad of Governmental confusion created has left Delveen and the family feeling violated instead of supported.

 

The offender, who we will not be named, has received respectful, cordial treatment whilst living freely and maintaining his demanding disposition to get what he wants from differing agencies, who sadly are more supportive of him than of the children and family left without their mother and their world.

 

We are kindly seeking financial assistance, which is something Candice struggled with, being the proud woman she is.

 

This is one of the most difficult things to do. However, we do so only because of the children who need the continued love, care, support and basic life items that their mum used to provide. The children notice the absence, one of who (the youngest) still asks, “where is my mum?” To explain that to an innocent child who constantly yearns for mum is a task that no person should have to do.

 

The family now has to go through the gruelling task of organising the funeral and continue living, knowing this world is not the same without Candice.
