While on holidays, for New Year 2018 my mom started getting really sick and after a couple of visits to GPs and specialists found out she had terminal cancer (which had been misdiagnosed back home, but that's another story...).
We got the surgery done asap as per the doctor's recommendation, because the tumour was massive and had started affecting other organs already. We are still reeling from the waves of shock from the news but the next step is to try and save what's left no matter what.
The travel insurance initially agreed to help, but months later, the medical bills keep pouring in every week, and we have already run out of savings and yet not a single dollar has been refunded!
Today, I'm asking for help to save my mum, so she can get access to medical treatment here before she is able to fly back home.
