How would you like to be told that your house is uninhabitable? A situation like this just happened not too long ago in a small town called Chocowinity in North Carolina. Once I seen the news special (I wanted to talk to them to see how I could help). I witnessed the living situations multiple families lived in I knew I needed to help them. That’s why I'm here to share their story and help get them out of this horrible situation.

There are three families that are being uprooted from their homes. One is a 74 year old elderly man that is living on a fixed income with multiple health problems, A young mother with three small children living on a temporary income, and a middle age couple living on seasonal work that has wasted their savings attempting to help the landlord get the home in living conditions. Some families were promised by the landlord with materials and anything else that he could provide to help repair the homes, this was a lie. Now these families have a serious dilemma. Where will this elderly man go?
He spent his monthly check on essentials and fixing his home. What will this young mother do working a low wage job with three children, that could be taken from her due to the situation? After she was manipulated into renting. Also the middle age couple who has spent all their savings into what they thought was a home and waiting on the next shutdown that maybe months away?
Now ask yourself what would you do? The city of Chocowinity turned their backs on them, the state of North Carolina refuse their call. If we raise $5,000 apiece for these families. They will all have a chance to start over. The water damage, mold and bug infestation left nothing to salvage, but with the help of the people maybe we can provide these folks with a home, furniture and clothing. Let's give what we can to get these people into the life everyone deserve, all is appreciated.
