<div>My name is Rebecca McLean; I'm a filmmaker and educator and the Director of a small film company Sharp Film Productions. I am looking for funds to pay a small crew to follow this band as they go on the journey of a lifetime. The money is needed for flights, accommodation, modest fees, for camera and sound and data wrangler and editor to pull the material on the go.

<div>The Story So far: For the past year, I have had the privilege to meet and hang out with the most impressive young Aboriginal band from Central Australia, Mulga Bore Hard Rock, who had a dream to meet their idols, KISS.

<div>I took the dream seriously and left no stone unturned in an impossible task … or was it … ?

<div>This powerful, cultural, hard-working, positive family from the bush is about to have their dream realised.
</div>

<div>Yes! They are about to open for KISS at their very last concert on Australian soil – Cbus Stadium, Gold Coast... hard to believe, but it is true.
</div>

<div>The first time I met them was a chance encounter outside CAAMA Studios in September 2021 when they were about to record their first song Big Train. I invited them to a video making workshop at Imparja Studios to learn how to make their own music video. We clicked, and I have been working with them ever since, teaching them filmmaking and together filming their story as it unfolds, their family, supporters, and teachers, and now this family band have been given the opportunity of a lifetime as the opening spot for KISS’ final show in Australia. The band was selected by Gene and Paul personally ... it took a while to get there, but hey, we did it!

<div>We want to make this documentary to show the world what it takes to make your dreams come true and how love, family, culture and hard work, wins above all else.

<div>The whole family will be there and will celebrate all of their hard work as a family and thank their ancestors.

<div>We are one big family with a shared vision.
</div>

<div>This is an opportunity for this community to shine a light not only on their incredible talent and family strength and culture and ancestorial legacies but also the hardship they endure with the lack of basic resources such as housing, water, health services and educational support services which is their right, not a privilege. They are the leaders of the future and music is their power.

<div>This is a big story and this family are ready to tell it for all to see and hear.
</div>

<div>Rock on Mulga Bore Hard Rock and a big thank you to Gina Riley, who sent the letter from us to KISS, Andrew McManus who received the letter and responded and KISS for accepting the challenge… but will they come to Mulga Bore and plant their glittery boots in the red dirt ??? The challenge has been made.
