I'd like to introduce you to my friends Olivier and Claudine Mugwiza from Kigali Rwanda. I met them when they were serving in Youth With A Mission Rwanda and we have been friends for several years. Olivier has donated several hours of his time and talents to our ministry taking pictures and creating a promotional video for us. And when my sister in law lost her baby last year, Claudine was with us every day for weeks helping, consoling and praying.
Olivier and Claudine have been married since November of 2012. They are a precious couple who longs to add children to their family. After two years of not being able to get pregnant they began visiting doctors all over Rwanda. After 8 doctors, a surgery, and multiple rounds of medication over 2 years they were told that their only option was in vitro fertilization. For a couple who had been volunteering in Youth With A Mission (YWAM) and had little to no income this news was devestating and seemed impossible!
Olivier has since left YWAM to pursue his photography career, but still the expense of in vitro is overwhelming for a couple who come from a country whose average house hold income is around $1,000 a year. Initially they were devastated. Their friends and family too were saddened by this news because we all know that they would be wonderful parents and it is their hearts' greatest desire to have a child.
In January 2018 Olivier and Claudine visited a fertility doctor in Dar Es Salaam Tanzania. After several tests this doctor confirmed that in vitro is the only way to go for this family. They have heard several testimonies of success from people who have used this doctor in Tanzania and they are ready to take steps toward their own journey of in vitro fertilization.
$9,250 will cover the cost of in vitro in Tanzania, their transport to and from, and accomodation while they are there. We would deeply appreciate any amount that you can give to help them achieve their dream of having a baby.
