Keeping alive a dream.
We are doing such good for so many women. We have begun a program for women from the Middle East that allows them to be in a private setting so they can workout in street clothes. We have found that movement transcends the language barrier. Please help me continue to proved this joy and opportunity for them and all women in the city of #Baltimore.
Background:
As some of you may know my name is Kim and I own an independent boutique barre exercise studio in Baltimore City. When we opened in 2012, we were the first studio of this kind in the city. Over the past six years, we have helped thousands of women become their best selves.
In 2017, we relocated from the Mount Vernon area to Downtown Baltimore and relaunched our new brand. The change of location closer to the city center coupled with increasing competition from large, national franchises, has put tremendous pressure on my business as you can imagine. We have also been battling construction, and a lack of lighting on our block. It is affecting our ability to serve our clients and compete.
I am launching this fundraising effort to help our business get through a rough patch we are facing at this very moment We are proud that we started with cash only no outside investments, I sold my home and used savings to begin. Being entirely cash based I have no room to operate in the red as the recent rebuild has demanded. We have chosen to provide classes and pay our teachers and fell short on rent. This money will catch us up and allow us to continue.
Please help me continue. I am passionate about barre as is my loyal client base which is beginning to increase with new clients every day.
I believe that we need entrepreneurial,
women-owned & operated small businesses and a safe inclusive space here in downtown Baltimore and I hope you might be able to help even with a dollar or two.
Time is now of the essence, and I could use any support I can get!! Without your help we are facing closing despite the resurgence and new clients coming to our studio in the recent month. Please, if you can help with even a small donation, it would mean so much to be able to continue giving this service to the women who work and live in the center of the city.
