Much Love for Mr. Phillip

Imagine being told you have four to six months to live, that this could be the last Christmas with your family.  Suddenly, the hustle and bustle of Christmas turns in to a basic wish of getting to hold your loved ones during this Holiday.
    Unfortunately, this is a reality for one of our own, Mr. Phillip Stewart, a fellow Mustang and custodian for Lakeway Elementary.  He is a brave fighter, battling lung cancer.  You have probably seen him in our cafeteria, the tall man that always has a smile on his face.  What you probably haven't seen is his willingness to go the extra mile to help with all of our decorating shenanigans at LWE.  
      Whether its helping with the Haunted House, setting up hay bales for the Thanksgiving Feast, or spending his day off on a Sunday afternoon getting out the Christmas library decorations...he is always more than willing to lend a hand with a big smile on his face.  This man is truly amazing and so giving to the students at Lakeway Elementary.
     Mr. Phillip was given a diagnosis of 4 to 6 months to survive.  He has a strong faith in God, and refuses to give up; however, he had to miss several months of work last year for this battle, and the financial burdens have definitely taken it's toll.  Mr. Phillip wants to financially support his family, and has vowed to continue working at Lakeway Elementary as long as he is physically able!  
     I'm calling on all of our Mustang families, to please slow down and take a moment to show Mr. Phillip how much he is loved and appreciated! There is no other cause that would truly demonstrate the spirit of giving during this season, and I truly believe, that there is no other family like our Lakeway Elementary Mustangs, that could unite and show our Mr. Phillip that we are behind him in this fight, and will support  him all the way!!! Thank you!!
