Study abroad in New Zealand

My name is Caila Murphy and I’m a student at MTSU. One of the reasons I came here for school was because of their study abroad program. I have always loved traveling, but it has been difficult to get the opportunities to go to various places. Walking around campus I saw all these signs for different countries to study abroad in, and it overwhelmed me, but last week I took a different path back to my room and I saw a sign for New Zealand. This has been my dream country since I was in middle school and as soon as I saw it my heart started racing. I knew this was my sign that I was supposed to be here doing this. I waited to announce it until I scheduled my meeting and figured out if it would be possible, and now I can’t imagine going through college without this experience. By trying to stay involved in school, it is difficult for me to keep a steady job while trying to keep my grades where they need to be, so it’s impossible for my to pay for this on my own. I have never asked people for money before, but this time I just really need help. This is a huge learning experience for me and it would be a great way for me to be able to make life long friends and do the one thing I have always wanted to do. It is not all just a vacation, I will be writing a blog everyday while I am there for a grade and for anyone to see and keep up with my trip since I will be so far away. The man organizing this trip is only taking a small number of people so I have to get the money as soon as possible or I won’t have a spot which is another reason why I have to do this. This trip also gives me credit hours that go towards my graduation and will help my GPA and learning for my major.  I have talked with my family about it and the biggest problem is finances, any amount will help I just need help being able to live a dream of mine. This is so important to my future and I can’t explain enough how much I feel this will impact me as a person. Thank you so much for taking the time to read and donate!!!
