Help Support Courtney Des Marais

Donation protected
This page is to support a special young lady who has experienced not one, but two tragedies in her family in the past month.  In mid-January, her beloved Aunt, was tragically killed in a solo car accident.  It was especially difficult for her and her father Aaron, because of the great love and the bond that the few remaining members of the family shared.  Aaron loved his daughter, Courtney, and sister, Jeanne, more than anything and they were both heartbroken with the loss. That tragedy became so much greater this week, when her father, Aaron Des Marais, was also tragically killed in an auto accident as he was returning home from the memorial service for his sister, Jeanne.

Anyone who knew Aaron would tell you that to know him was to love him.  His life was an example of what friendship really means to all of those around him.  He had an energy that was contagious.  He worked so hard at his career, mostly because he truly wanted to help people.  If you're one of those who was fortunate to have worked with Aaron, then you know that he was competitive and relentless on behalf of all of his clients who quickly became his friends.  He would never give up trying to get people qualified for homes because, first and foremost, he truly cared about all of these individuals and their happiness.  He was the first and last resort:  If Aaron couldn't do it, then it couldn't be done.  It was hard for him to think about leaving his friends/clients, but he would always say that he looked forward to retiring someday and moving up to Auburn to be near his daughter and sister.

Our hearts are broken because the Lord called an amazing man home too soon and he will be missed by everyone who knew him.  But our hearts especially ache for his daughter, Courtney who has lost her father.  They traveled many places together and she was the light of his life.   She is still mourning the loss of her Aunt as well.  Don't know if any of us can begin to imagine what she is going through at this time.

This page is to help Courtney with immediate expenses that she should not have to worry about as she makes funeral arrangements and begins to sort things out.  If you can help financially, then that would be wonderful.  Regardless,  please keep Courtney and the rest of their family in your prayers during this most difficult time.

May God bless us all.
