Humphrey's Veterinary Aide

 

Heidi came into my life after reading my Huffington Post Good News Story this summer.  She said a friend sent it to her and she contacted me.  She wanted Humphrey to be a therapy rabbit too.  He was one of our first Bunny Besties of the day .  We followed his journey on this page to becoming a true registered  therapy rabbit.  We supported her page and so many of you liked them.

 

It takes a very special rabbit to do hospice work.  I know cause I have only one who can do it.  Like my Mr. Mini Cooper,  Humphrey was that special kind of rabbit.  

 

Together he and Heidi chose Pediatric Hospice.  They were a huge hit.  Children were requesting him.  All of this you have watched while Heidi searched for work.  She had the time but being out of work for seven months is hard as many of us know.

 

I.have struggled with why this loss of this  bunny but now I know in my heart why.  He was called home to help these sweet children find their way to heaven. 

 On the journey through heavens gates, Humphrey will hop up to them and jump into their arms.  They will l trust him as they walk towards the light.   He will make sure they are not alone or afraid foe a moment.  His work now has grown him angel wings.  His children will not be fear.  They will have Humphrey to snuggle all the way home.

So today I ask all of you to just donate $1.  With 3500 strong of us we can get this bill paid for.

Here is what Heidi said in respinse.  "That would be wonderful. I don't even know what to say, Especially since I have not worked for seven months. I just charged the expenses. The first bill was $850 when I picked him up on Sunday. Then I took him back Monday morning for more meds and surgery. That bill was $2,027. Your kindness has me bawling all over again. Thank you so much.... XO
