I guess I can start with in 2012 while cutting firewood to heat our house, I broke my hand.  My employer didn't want me to miss work, so being pretty strong and in good shape, I continued to work.  In continuing to work, I over compinsated by using my good hand and messed up my hole back and neck.  I had to take a week off to try to heal as best as I could.  When I was scheduled to go back to work, I found out that I was laid off indefinitely.  So now I have no job.  It was now time for me to get my neck and back repaired so that I could possibly return to the work force.  In being examined, the doctor came to the conclusion that it was in my best interest to have C6 and C7 fused together.  The pain at that time was unimagineable and that was going to be my best course of action to relieve most of the pain.  Surgery was scheduled and while waiting for the surgery, I suffered a stroke.  I was only 50 years old.  The stroke left me with my left side of my body weakened and the left part of my face numb.  I also have balance problems and memory loss.  My doctor prescribed a cane for stability and that helped a lot.  The stroke set back my neck fusion for 6 months.  I finally received my neck fusion surgery in July of 2013.  The surgery didn't really help very much.  I still have a lot of pain in my neck and back.  They have told me that I also have severe athritis and degenerative back issues.  When doing the therapy from my neck fusion, on the 2nd to last session, I started urinating blood.  They had me tested and did a scope and found that I have I had bladder cancer.  That was in November of 2013.  I was sent to IU cancer center in Indy in January 2014 where they did a radical cistectomy (removed my bladder, prostate and lymph nodes).  They took 2 feet of my small instestine, made it into a pouch and put it in place of my bladder.  I can urinate normally, but it is very hard to do, so I mainly use a catheter.  After the surgery, I found out that I also had prostate cancer.  They also tested my lymph nodes, but found no cancer had spread to them.  They thought I was cancer free at that time, but in July of 2014, I was having severe pain in my hip.  At my insistance, they finally did an MRI in November of 2014 of my hip and found that I have cancer on my bones.  I was told the 20% of the cancer was Plasmacytoma, which is a rare and very aggressive form of cancer.  They told me if I do nothing, I have 3 to 6 months to live.  I did 10 treatments of radiation and then they did another MRI and bone scan.  The cancer is wide spread.  It is concentrated in my left hip and has made it weak.  The doctor prescribed a walker for me to keep the weight off the hip. Without that I could barely walk because the pain was so intense. They were afraid of it being broken and that would be devastating.  The cancer is also in my spine, ribs, shoulder, cheek, and skull.  The bone scan is very scary.  There are dots of cancer all over.  I have started doing chemo and have completed 2 of the 3 rounds.  The chemo hits me hard and makes me very fatigued.  Once I have completed the 3 rounds of chemo, they will re-evaluate me and see what happens next.  More than likely more chemo.  This has taken a toll on us financially.  I plan on beating this, but could really use some help to win this battle.  God bless everyone who reads this and thank you for your help.
