2nd Annual Red Carpet Oscar Awards Party and Fundraiser for MS Research!
This year we're raising money for Multiple Sclerosis research.
Over 2 million people world wide have M.S.
Funding research for this disease is one of the most important ways to ensure that there will someday be a cure and that new, better treatment options are consistently available.
We're raising money for Multiple Sclerosis in honor of our friend Chris Redelsperger (that's him in the photo below, bottom left, with his parents, sisters and brother in law!) who, at age 27, was diagnosed with Primary Progressive M.S., the most debilitating and under researched form of M.S.
In the past few years since Chris' diagnosis he and his family have realized how little research has been done on his type of M.S. They have found that even the most knowledeable doctors have little information about treatment options.
We've also teamed up with Julia James (local San Juan islander Booboo James' sister) who is running the London Marathon as a fundraiser for Multiple Sclerosis in honor of their mother who was diagnosed with M.S. at age 40.
Julia's parent's helped found a Multiple Sclerosis charity back in the 1970s that has since become the M.S. Trust, a UK based foundation that not only supports people with M.S. but supports doctors and nurses through professional development programs and focuses on treatment research.

Our hope is that this fundraiser and event will not only raise a little money to be donated to research through the MS Trust but also help raise awareness of Multiple Sclerosis and the need for research of this disease.
