My name is Kayla Nicole Brooks! I am the proud daughter of Douglas and Jennifer Brooks and I have some exciting news! This year, I, along with 30 other girls have the amazing privilege to participate in the 2018 Debutante Cotillion and Scholarship Program hosted by Alpha Mu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and The Ivy Endowment, Inc. On November 11, 2018, I will make my society debut!
About me?
I am a junior at Cathedral High School here in Indianapolis. Since Kindergarten, I have been a member of Girl Scouts of America and I am the recipient of The Bronze, Silver and currently working on my Gold Award, the highest achievement in scouting. I am a member of Cathedral's competitive dance team and Gospel choir respectively. I am also a rising member of both the National and Spanish honors Societies, with a 3.63 cumulative GPA. I had the unique opportunity to live abroad for 3 years. My dad's work at Eli Lilly gave my family the chance to live in London, England where I attended an International School. I graduated from Middle School in England and was able to visit 3 continents and 20 countries including cities in Spain, an extra special treat as I am almost fluent in Spanish. Abroad living showed me how big our world truly is. I look forward to mixing travels outside of the U.S. with my ultimate future career goals.

As you can see, I am very active and have high aspirations to attend college after graduating high school. My dream is to attend Purdue University and then attend Law School with the hopes of becoming a Civil Rights Attorney.
There are several donation levels, however, all contributions are welcomed. 95% of your donation will be placed in an Endowment that I will receive for college in 2020, when I graduate from Cathedral. *My escort, Andrew Holmes and I were in the same third grade class together yet barely knew one another, despite us both having older brothers the same grade who were good friends. Andrew and I start Ballroom dance rehearsals in a few short weeks.
*I volunteered 100+ hours at a nursing home over the summer providing service for some of the most amazing Seniors Citizens. I learned so much from them and truly look forward to continuing working with the elderly once my Debutante Journey has concluded!
*I am very close to my goal amount! Your generous contribution would put me where I need to be and make my dream of being crowned Debutante Queen a reality!
