Carolyn Drewyor has dedicated herself to the service of others. Whether it's in the armed forces or serving the Bryan/College Station community by being a beloved and trusted day care provider, Ms. Carolyn, (as she is affectionately known by the thousands of children who have been under her care) has been a true servant for all of us. And she needs our help.
Cancer is a thief that takes away our ability to support ourselves both physically and emotionally. The medical bills are one thing, but the absolute worst part is that chemotherapy precludes her from being able to care for her beloved children that she watches. So not only is she being forced to spend thousands of dollars, she is now in position that she cannot do the thing that God put her on this earth to do.
Cancer is a coward.
On a personal note, I have a child with special needs. My sweet son is 2 years old and without Carolyn we would be lost. There are no daycare providers in college station that are skilled enough and able to provide the care that he needs on a daily basis. Carolyn has been there since day one. She comforted us when we found out about Dom's diagnosis and has cared for him like a family member would. I dont know what we are going to do now, but none of that matters because Carolyn is in need.
Please help. Our goal is 20 thousand to support Carolyn not only with her medical bills but also with the day to day expenses associated with....well life itself. That goal is totally arbitrary, but it's a start.
Carolyn is a beloved member of this community. She is a veteran. She has been a Fish Camp namesake. For 20+ years she has given herself to the service of our children. She is an Aggie through and through.
It's time to help Ms. Carolyn beat cancer. Please please please help.
