Ms. Elsie

Ms. Elsie is a custodian at MIMS, Mandarin Immersion Magnet School, in Houston, TX. Many of us who will read this Go Fund Me have had, or currently have, their children attend classes there. 

Elsie loves the students, staff, and parents at MIMS! She always has a smile on her face and adds a little sunshine to MIMS with her positive attitude. We have always noticed Elsie going above and beyond with her work around the school, even after she has completed her daily tasks. Every day she makes it a point to connect with parents, students, and staff members.

Recently, Ms. Elsie lost her son, Jose, who lived in El Salvador. She traveled there with her sister and daughter in time for the funeral. They will stay for a bit to reconnect with family and mourn the loss of her son. Teachers and parents quickly came together to raise money for her, her daughter, and sister to get rapid
 tests so they could fly to El Salvador for his funeral. Ms. Elsie was amazed at the amount of support and love she received from our MIMS family!

Upon her return to Houston, she will have to quarantine for 14 days before she can return to MIMS. This will result in almost a month of lost wages for a very hard working, much loved member of our MIMS family. Ms. Elsie has enough on her plate dealing with the loss of a child, let's help her recoup her lost wages for the month. Any amount is appreciated.
