As a little girl I always had a desire to attend Spelman College. I like the fact that the college has a strong foundation in womanhood and does not discriminate against other races. While looking at the Spelman website like I usually do, I found a summer program and decided to apply. The program looks great for me because they help you become a better person and prepare for the SATs and college.
Fortunately, I got accepted and now I have the opportunity to go, but I don't have the money. I need $2,700.00 in order for me to go. The $2,300.00 is for my room and board (lodging in The Suites Resident Hall with a full meal plan/three daily meals), books, activity fees and field trip transportation costs. Flights are around $300, so I would ideally raise $100 for padding in case flight prices go up.
My $500 deposit is due by April 30 to hold my spot. The rest of the tuition, $1800, is due by May 15.
It would mean the world to me to be able to go to my dream school. It means the world to me just to have the opportunity to go. I am thankful to all those who can help me make this dream come true.
