Tyler Cole

On Thursday, May 10, 2012, Tyler Cole, 27 was found unconscious by his Dad, Jeff Cole at their home.  Jeff immediately dialed 911 and began intensive CPR.  Tyler was rushed to Maine Medical Center.  Tragically, due to the prolonged period of time without oxygen, Tyler's brain had extreme swelling.  After focused attempts to bring the brain swelling down, the hospital informed the Cole's that their son was brain dead.  Tyler is being removed from life support today (Mother's day).  The hospital has told the Cole family to prepare themselves.

Tyler was a talented sous chef and chef in the Portland area.  He was recognized and saluted for his signature Crispy Duck Confit while employed by the Front Room. 

Tyler's Mom (Kathy), Dad (Jeff), Sister (Kali) and brother-in-law (Matt)  are still in shock and keeping a constant vigil over Tyler.

No family is prepared for a situation like this especially during this period of economic hardship.  The stress of dealing with Tyler's condition is heartbreaking and in an effort to easy their pain and the immense financial burden associated with medical and funeral expenses, I am reaching out to you for any donation that will assist with the pending expenses that the Cole family will be facing.

Kathy has been a very close friend since kinder-garden and we have shared joy and sorrow. laughter and tears but nothing compares to this heartache.
