Sean's Medical/House Fund

Sean McGowan is one of those men that you are proud to call your friend or colleague. He has dealt with Chron's disease as long as I have known him, but these last couple weeks have been extremely rough. He has been working with doctors and specialists over the past little bit trying to get more healthy, but has definitely experienced many LOW points. We understand that Chron's disease is a disease without a cure, but there has to be something we can do to make life more enjoyable. Honestly, there are times where Sean's pain is so bad that his body (specifically watching him walk) looks more like that of a 90+ year old, rather than the young man that he is. Pain or no pain, he keeps going with a positive attitude. Sometimes, he keeps going more than he shoud:). Finally, this last week, his body let him know that it had had enough. He was admitted to Utah Valley Hospital with trouble breathing and talking.

He will now be leaving the hospital, and we know he still has some of his out of pocket max to hit this year, and he will have a new out of pocket max to hit, starting very soon. We want to set him up to help cover the rest of his out of pocket max this year as well as the entirety of next year. He did recently receive good news when he was approved for a different, expensive medication. We are hoping that medication will help make a difference in Sean's life -- and you never know when he is going to run into additional medication or procedures that his insurance may not cover.

Additionally, Sean's living conditions have been less than ideal for the past month +. But, we did receive good news that Sean is closing on a town home shortly -- which we are thrilled about. He has spent WAY to long sleeping on his grandparent's couch as his landlords have been working on fixing a recurring issue in his place. We are excited to help Sean get a jumpstart on this new townhome. The more we can raise the better, as we would like to help make the new townhome a fun new place for him -- while decreasing some of the initial sticker shock of buying a new place.

Sean is a good friend to many, and we want to help him. We hope you will help too.
