Mrs. Siclare’s Educational Journey

We all LOVE Mrs. Siclare!  She is truly one of a kind!  Her classroom is a welcoming, encouraging, and entertaining environment!  We all know how hard she works to make this happen each day for our children.  It certainly does not happen with a snap of her fingers.  Mrs. Siclare puts in long hours at school and at home to be the teacher she is today.  Plus, she always looks like she just walked straight off the runway in her stylish outfits and accessories!

On the heels of a wonderful school year, I thought we could come together and give Mrs. Siclare a gift that will keep on giving.  Many of you are aware that she has an Instagram account under @sparkles_and _pompoms.  She posts daily videos of her work, strategies, and ideas so that other teachers can learn from her.  She also connects with other teachers across the world to learn from them!  Pretty impressive!

Recently, one of her posts caught my eye.  She talked about how much her husband supports her teaching career.  They reached into their own pockets last summer so that she could attend a national conference called, "Get Your Teach On."  It is a meeting, conference, and networking event that Mrs. Siclare uses to help her be the fantastic teacher she is today.  When Mrs. Siclare returned from the “Get Your Teach On” conference, she held a workshop at school so she could share resources and the information that she learned with any staff that was interested. Mrs. Siclare’s hope is that other teachers in our district will be inspired to try some new things in their classrooms as well!  That being said, how can we as a community allow one of our most valuable teachers to pay for a conference and travel with her own money?  I’m hoping we can make a difference!

I'm hoping that we can support our fabulous teacher to attend another incredible conference next year.  Her knowledge will inspire many children and teachers in our school system.  It is the least we can do for a woman that has touched so many of our children's lives.  I know her influence has had a profound effect on my daughter and will for many years to come!
