<div>This year, the AWS community was blessed with the presence of an extraordinary new teacher who brought joy, passion, and dedication to our first-grade class and our entire school community. Mrs. Shikha Johnson has been a cherished member of our community for several years, initially serving as a substitute teacher and volunteer before stepping into her role as the first-grade teacher this year.

<div>Throughout her time with us, Mrs. Johnson has touched the hearts of students, faculty, and parents alike with her heartfelt striving, her beautiful singing, and her unwavering love for every child under her care. She has guided our first-grade class with grace and skill, nurturing their growth and guiding them through their transition into the grades.

<div>Shikha has been on a fertility journey for the last 2 years. Sadly, in February, she found out that she needs to undergo a hysterectomy due to a fibroid. At this time, she needs to step away from her teaching duties to focus on her health and healing.
</div>

<div>While we are deeply saddened to see her go, we are sending her forth with overflowing love, gratitude, and support as she embarks on this journey towards wellness.
</div>
