19 years ago, a local realtor, Jane Wasmund, contacted the Key Largo Post Office and asked a question: "Who answers the Santa Mail?
Mrs. Claus, a Merry Cause was born!
The Postmaster gave permission for the letters to read locally and this Merry Cause began! For 20 years now actual wishes from local children have been granted by Jane and her idea!
What is being done is very unique. Mrs. Claus doesn't just hand out wrapped boxes, Mrs. Claus keeps the magic, love and spirit of the Holiday season alive for families who otherwise would not have any by listening to what kids really want for Christmas. Mrs. Claus keeps the stars of the Holidays in kid's eyes by surprising them and granting them their actual wishes!!
