Dear New City Families,
We are all still processing the difficult news of our dear friend Otis Jackson’s passing. We had all hoped he would rebound from his medical difficulties and rejoin us, but that is not to be.
Otis became an icon at New City School after over 10 years of service here. The steady voice, discipline, and management he brought to our lunch room, his affable and reliable presence on the front steps at the end of the day letting us know that all is clear, his immense like-ability, friendliness, and good humor--all of these and many more we will miss.
Otis’ family is succeeded by two children and an extended family.
To honor Otis and to support the family in this challenging moment, we have established this page in hopes of raising enough money to fund a funeral. All money raised will go to funeral expenses.
