Hi my family and friends.. Me and my little 2yr old shitzu Milo need some help. We had an emergency vet appointment in Saskatoon this morning, and if anyone can help me with his follow-up emergency dental surgery I would really super appreciate it.

I hate to ask, but after today’s appointment and the quote for next week it’s a lot to handle all at once and he really needs to get this procedure done. The vet wanted to keep him but we couldn’t do it and so I’m m heading back to Stoon Wednesday night for his appointment that is Thursday morning

Milo is a haywire little guy. Always full of energy and excited about everything. He would do anything for a bacon strip. 2 nights ago he was less playful than usual, and then yesterday he didn’t want to do anything. Didn’t drink or eat any of his food and he didn’t even come greet me at the door. Didn’t want bacon strips. Milo wasn’t even moving he was just laying there looking at me. I freaked, and after a bit it looked like he couldn’t open his mouth so called the vet. I thought maybe a broken tooth or something..

Milo was at the Erindale Vet all day (they are fast) and they found that he has 2 ingrown baby teeth on the top left, a big growth on the roof of his mouth, dental disease on the side with the baby teeth, and the right side of his tiny jaw is inflamed 4x of what it should be. There’s a lot going on in his tiny mouth

Today’s appointment was $800 + the travel (super grateful for Erindale’s quick help) Next week’s procedure they quoted lowest being $1820.38 if everything goes smoothly, or max of $3,238.11.

The vet said they wouldn’t know if they have to do a biopsy for his jaw until they have him already put under. They also said it needs to be done ASAP because if Milo bumps or does anything too hard to that part of his jaw it could dislocate and then it would be really really bad.

Erindale packed me up with a bunch of antibiotics, GI medicine, soft dog food, and pain killers to last to next week so if we take it easy until then everything should be fine until that appointment

So.. If anyone can help I’d really really appreciate - anything and everything will be directly for his surgery that’s on Thursday.

Milo is my whole world and I haven’t had him long enough to be thinking about him not being attached to my hip ♥️ I just want him to be and feel better
