Joseph Williams founder and father of five from Bronzeville created Mr. Dad’s Father’s Club in 2017 to help Southside fathers become active in the community and in their kids' lives. Since then, his program has been present in various schools increasing GPA’s and confidence of inner city children all over Chicago.
While still maintaining this successful program, Joseph has decided to branch beyond book reading and has the vision to provide a safe haven as what he would call the Mr. Dad’s Father’s Club Community Center. This will be a state of the art building that will focus on providing a place for inner city children to express themselves. His vision is to provide inside the facility the following: a theater for children to express themselves through the art of drama, a dance studio, a gymnasium, and of course we can’t forget our own personal library on the premises highlighting and providing amazing books that will continue to spark the imaginations of children of all ages. Along with the library will be a learning branch where we would focus on improving children’s social, emotional and learning skills.
This facility will also provide before and after-school programs for parents who are in need of these services.
The Mr. Dad’s Father’s Club Community Center will be available 6 days a week with a fully trained and licensed staff to nurture every kid that walks through those doors. Mr. dad’s fathers club will also use the facility to continue to host free events for the community as well.
