Mr. Chadha's Medical Care

On the morning of Wednesday, May 31, 2017 my sister-in-law's father, Mr. Chadha met with a serious accident. A bus hit his motorcycle and he sustained severe head injuries. He was immediately rushed to a hospital where he received an emergency brain surgery. Ever since the accident he has been in coma and is not responding to physical stimuli. The prognosis is not good. To complicate matters further, he is a heart patient and has diabetes so he'll need expert lifelong medical care and attention.

Mrs. and Mr. Chadha live in a humble one-bedroom house and have no source of income. They have been living on financial support from their daughters. The hospital bills are amounting to thousands of rupees everyday and are beyond their means. Because of this, Mrs. Chadha is being forced to bring Mr. Chadha home. Since she has arthritis and is unable to provide any care herself, she will need to rent medical equipment and hire a trained nurse. She's contemplating selling their house and move to a rental unit in order to be able to pay for Mr. Chadha's care. This might help in the immediate term but certainly won't be enough in the longer term.

My sister-in-law has given me permission to create this fund. It will be used to pay for Mr. Chadha's medical treatment and care.
